Other Knowledge		There was a Syrian comedian in Radio called Umkamel, who was played by him, Samiyath Khayat and Umrateb Khayat. Later in 1960s and 1970s I saw it on Syrian TV in Jordan and Lebanon. Umkamel was officially a man pretending to be an old Damascus woman, This character of Umkamel had one propaganda purpose, which is to teach the all new invented Damascus tradition in cheating, lying and playing/acting stupid/dumb, and in the same time pretend that all these traditions are old Damascus traditions since hundreds of years, this was to deceive new immigrant but also new born or youth who has no idea that Damascus as we know it today was 100% established between 1940s and 1950s. The Radio station was 100% established by English/American military as part of propaganda in the 1950s. I have the strong suspension and believe that Fuad Khayat, Samiyath Khayat and Umrateb Khayat are either one or two persons who created many identities, one of them is Umkamel.
